JinkoSolar Holding has signed an agreement with the Lingwu City local government in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, China, to construct a new 200 MW ground-mounted PV power plant.
As part of the deal, JinkoSolar will develop a PV industrial base in Lingwu and invest in a number of PV related supporting facilities in the region.
The company noted that the investment for the project is expected to be around RMB4.6bn ($750m).
The power generated from the new plant will be connected to the state grid, and construction will be started, according to the approval status of the local development and reform commission.
JinkoSolar Holding chairman Xiande Li said the company will cooperate with Lingwu City in the development of significant comprehensive renewable energy project.
"The selection of JinkoSolar further solidifies our leadership position in the domestic solar PV market, especially on project development side," Li added.

JinkoSolar includes a vertically integrated solar product value chain, with an integrated annual capacity of around 1.5 GW each for silicon ingots, wafers, and solar PV cells, and about 1.8 GW for solar PV modules, as of 30 September, 2013.
The company sells electricity in China and distributes its solar products in the global PV market, including Germany, Italy, Belgium, Spain, US, Eastern Europe, China, India, Japan and South Africa.
