Chinese solar energy firm Goldpoly New Energy has signed a deal with China Triumph International Engineering (CTIEC) to acquire 500 MW solar power plants built by the latter in China, Europe, North America and Japan under its Target Projects plan aimed at expanding its portfolio.
As part of the plan, the company has also entered into a cooperation agreement with telecommunications firm Huawei Technologies for providing inverters and information and communications technology (ICT) solutions for the project.

Huawei will also help facilitate the power generation of solar power plants to enhance operational efficiency.
The Target Projects, which represent the first batch of project pipelines between the three companies, are subject to regulatory approvals, for access system connections, possessing technical conditions to connect to grids and fulfilling related legal and financial requirements.
Goldpoly chairman and CEO Alan LI said with joint efforts, Goldpoly strives to maintain a leading position in the photovoltaic industry.
