Belectric USA has signed agreements to build 60 megawatts of solar PV plants in California and Puerto Rico.

The company plans to start construction of plants by the end of 2013, and intends to complete by mid-2014.

Belectric USA CEO Karl Markert said the securing of project rights represents an important step for the company in establishing itself in the highly competitive US market.

"We are proud to be a part of the future of energy supply in the USA. Once the projects are completed, BELECTRIC USA will have built over 130 Megawatts of PV power plants in the US alone," Markert added.

"The decisive factors in winning the contracts were the professionalism, commitment, and motivation of our employees – they are the reason we were awarded these projects."

The company is involved in the development and construction of ground-mounted solar power plants and roof-mounted photovoltaic systems.
