Rame Energy’s wholly owned engineering services subsidiary Seawind has been awarded a contract to design, supply and install a new wind monitoring equipment at the 20MW Punta Colorada wind farm in Chile.

Work under the contract include the installation of an 80m tall lattice mast, instrumentation, a solar panel and a data logger with mobile connectivity to provide verification data for the wind climate around six of the ten turbines that comprise the existing Rame-built wind farm.

The contract follows completion of recent upgrade by Rame for one of Barrick’s existing 50m tall monitoring masts as well as the provision of engineering services at Punta Colorada.
