Martifer Solar, a business unit of Martifer SGPS, has completed the construction of two photovoltaic (PV) plants in Romania.
The company said that the 5.41MWp PV plants have been built for Eurowind Energy.
Martifer Solar has been involved in the engineering, procurement and construction of the two projects, a 2.03 MWp plant in Halchiu and a 3.38 MWp in Magurele, near Bucharest.
The two plants, which are installed with about 22,000 PV modules on ground-mounted fixed structures in a 12.5 hectares area, are expected to produce around 7 GWh per year.
The company noted that the produced energy is equivalent to the average consumption of about 13,000 inhabitants and will offset the emission of around 3,500 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.
Martifer Solar Romania country manager Óscar Marques said, “Martifer Solar has already built three PV plants for Eurowind Energy A/S in Romania, reflecting the success of a strong partnership that was started in 2012, and which we hope to successfully continue in the future.”
Eurowind Energy managing director Jens Rasmussen said the company highly values the close corporation with Martifer Solar for these projects.
“We experience Martifer Solar as a very professional and reliable business partner, with very competent and dedicated employees,” affirms Jens Rasmussen, Managing Director of Eurowind Energy A/S,” Rasmussen added.
Since 2012, Martifer Solar has been present in the Romanian market.
