Description
The project is being developed by Parque Eolico Tucano, SoWiTec do Brasil Energias Alternativas and Tucano F5 Geracao de Energias. The AES, Others, Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras and BNDES Participacoes are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 47.63%, 38.87%, 6.77% and 6.73% respectively.
The Tubular Steel structure to be installed at the project site are expected to be 115m high.
Development status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Anglo American under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years, starting from 2022.
Contractors involved
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to supply SG 5.8-170 model turbines for the project.
