Description

The project is being developed by Morinomiyako Biomass Energy GK. Renova, United Purpose Management, Mizuho Leasing, Sumitomo Forestry and Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 29%, 25%, 17%, 15% and 14% respectively.

Agricultural by-product and wood by-product will be used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by November 2023.

Contractors involved

Sumitomo Heavy Industries is likely to be the supplier of the steam boiler for the project.
