Description

The project is being developed by PT. Supreme Energy Rantau Dedap. Engie, Marubeni, PT Supreme Energy and Tohoku Electric Power are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 42.1%, 32%, 15.9% and 10% respectively.

The geothermal plant is of double flash type. The geothermal site has in total 28 number of wells. Out of this 22 will be production wells and remaining 6 will be injection wells.

The project is expected to generate 1,734.5GWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 500,000 households. The project is expected to offset 1,099,745t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in December 2021.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the Rantau Dedap Geothermal Power Plant (Rantau Dedap Geothermal Power Plant Phase-I) will be sold to PT PLN (Persero) under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.117kWh for a period of 30 years. The capacity to be procured is 86MW.

Contractors involved

Fuji Electric and PT Rekayasa Industri are expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the geothermal power project.

Rantau Dedap Geothermal Power Plant (Rantau Dedap Geothermal Power Plant Phase-I) will be equipped with Fuji Electric turbines.
