Description

The project is being developed by Bahari Wind. The project is co-owned by Bahari Wind and IFC InfraVentures, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 180,000 households, to offset 190,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The wind power project consists of 22 turbines.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Kenya Power and Lighting under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
