Description
The project is being developed by Montecristi Solar FV. Blue Elephant Energy and F&S Solar Caribe Holding are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 65% and 35% respectively.
Montecristi Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 2,000,000 square meters.
The project is expected to generate 103,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 100,000 households. The project is expected to offset 108,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the Montecristi Solar PV Park (Montecristi Solar PV Park Phase 1) will be sold to Corporacion Dominicana de Empresas Electricas Estatales under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years from 2018. The offtake capacity is expected to be 58MW.

Astroenergy will be the supplier of the PV modules for the Montecristi Solar PV Park (Montecristi Solar PV Park Phase 1). The company is expected to install 215,000 modules at the site.
