Description

The project was developed by Baynouna Solar Energy. Abu Dhabi Future Energy and Taaleri are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 70% and 30% respectively.

Masdar Jordan Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 600 hectares.

The project generates 560,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 160,000 households, offsetting 360,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project consists of 740,000 modules.

Development status

The project got commissioned in February 2023.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to National Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 200MW.

Contractors involved

Enviromena Power Systems was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
