Description

The project was developed by Etrion and Hitachi High-Technologies. Development Bank of Japan, The Kansai Electric Power and Osaka Gas are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40%, 40% and 20% respectively.

Komatsu Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 30.5 hectares.

The project generates 14.2GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 4,000 households.

Development status

The project got commissioned in May 2018.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Hokuriku Electric Power under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.281kWh for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 13.2MW.

Contractors involved

Hitachi High-Technologies was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Canadian Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 48,000 modules at the site.

The inverters were procured from Hitachi for the project.

Hitachi and Hitachi High-Technologies were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
