Description

The project was developed by Kodeni Solar SASU. Lereko Metier Sustainable Capital Managers and Nederlandse Financierings-Maatschappij voor Ontwikkelingslanden are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60% and 40% respectively.

Kodeni Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 80 hectares.

The project generates 73,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 115,000 households, offsetting 41,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2021 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in May 2022.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Societe Nationale d'electricite du Burkina under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.084kWh for a period of 25 years. The contracted capacity is 30MW.

Contractors involved

ENGIE Solutions was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

ENGIE Solutions is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
