The project was developed by Kirahon Solar Energy. Mindanao Energy Systems and Solar Pacific Energy are currently owning the project.

Kirahon Solar Power Project is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 15 hectares.

The project generates 18,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 23,500 households, offsetting 387t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project consists of 41,080 modules, each with 305W nameplate capacity.

Development status

The project got commissioned in October 2015.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Cagayan Electric Power & Light under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.

Contractors involved

First Balfour was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
