Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by KAR Group. The company has a stake of 100%.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant will run on Light Fuel Oil. The fuel will be procured from Khurmala Oil Field.

ABB is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the Khormala Power Generation Station (Khormala Power Generation Station Phase 1 Unit I-IV).

Khormala Power Generation Station (Khormala Power Generation Station Phase 1 Unit I-IV) will be equipped with Siemens Energy SGT5-2000E gas turbines. The phase consists of 4 gas turbines with 160MW nameplate capacity.

Khormala Power Generation Station (Khormala Power Generation Station Phase 2 Unit V-VI) will be equipped with Siemens Energy SGT5-2000E gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines.

Siemens Energy is expected to be the supplier of SGen5-100A electric generator for the project.

Siemens Energy is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the Khormala Power Generation Station (Khormala Power Generation Station Phase 1 Unit I-IV). The O&M tenure will likely be commencing from the year 2013.

Siemens Energy is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the Khormala Power Generation Station (Khormala Power Generation Station Phase 2 Unit V-VI). The operation and maintenance contract tenure will likely be commencing from 2017, for a period of 15 years.
