Description
The project was developed by Gaia Power and Kanoya Osaki Solar Hills. The project is co-owned by Kyocera, Kyudenko and Tokyo Century, with their respective ownership stake of 9.1% each.
Kanoya Osaki Solar Hills PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 220 hectares.
The project generates 117,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 39,300 households, offsetting 52,940t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Development status
The project got commissioned in May 2020.
Contractors involved
Kyocera was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 356,928 modules at the site.
Kyudenko is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
