Description

Ikata 3 is a Generation II nuclear reactor developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, the main contractor for the project.

The reactor vessel has been supplied by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. The material used for the construction of the vessel is Alloyed Steel (SFVQ1A). The civil works were carried out by Taisei Corporation, Nishimatsu Construction Co., Ltd., Hazama Ando Corporation and Okumura.
