Description

The project is being developed by Crosswind. Shell and Eneco Holding are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 79.9% and 20.1% respectively.

The project is expected to generate 3,300,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 1,000,000 households. The project will be spread over an area of 125km². The turbines will be mounted on fixed monopile foundations and will be interconnected by 66kV inter-array cable.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Amazon.com under a power purchase agreement from 2024. The offtake capacity is expected to be 380MW.

Contractors involved

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to provide 69 units of SG 11.0-200 DD turbines, each with 11MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the wind power project for a period of 15 years.
