Description

The project was developed by Airtricity North America and E.ON. The project is currently owned by RWE with a stake of 100%.

The project generates 271,560MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 37,000 households, offsetting 220,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Sempra Texas Holdings under a power purchase agreement from 2007. The contracted capacity is 124.2MW.

Contractors involved

KR Wind was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 54 units of SWT-2.3-93 turbines, each with 2.3MW nameplate capacity.
