Description
The project was developed by Etrion and Renewable Japan. Renewable Japan and The Dai-ichi Life Insurance are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.
Etrion Niigata Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 75.7 hectares.
The project generates 47,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 15,700 households.

The project construction commenced in 2021 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in December 2021.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Tohoku Electric Power under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.332kWh for a period of 18.00 years, starting from 2021.
Contractors involved
Toyo Engineering was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
JinkoSolar Holding was selected as the supplier of PV modules for the project.
Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project, commencing from the year 2021.
