Description

The project generates 56GWh electricity thereby offsetting 90,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Straw residue which is a kind of agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.

The project got commissioned in May 2013.

Contractors involved

Burmeister & Wain Energy supplied steam boiler for the project. The boiler installed at the site has a capacity of 67TPH. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 522Degree Celsius. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 112bar.
