Description

The project is developed and owned by Electric Power Industry of Serbia.

Djerdap I is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 1,380 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project are 35.4m and 17.5m respectively. Djerdap I underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2008.Djerdap I (Djerdap I_A2) underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2023. The project generated 5,650 GWh of electricity.

Power Machines was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The project consists of 6 units of Kaplan turbines, each with 201MW nameplate capacity.

Power Machines supplied 5 electric generators for the Djerdap I (Djerdap I_A1, A3, A4, A5, A6 (Rehabilated units)). The generator capacity is 211.11 MVA.
