The project was developed by Sharp, Shigemitsu Shoji and Solar Power International. The project is currently owned by Shigemitsu Shoji.

Darkhan Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 291,000 square meters.

The project generates 14,182MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 20,000 households, offsetting 14,746t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The power generated from the project is sold to Central Energy System under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors involved

Sharp was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Sharp was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 32,274 modules each with 310W of nameplate capacity.

SMA Solar Technology supplied 16 inverters to the project site.

Shigemitsu Shoji is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project for a period of 25 years.
