Description

The project was developed by Acciona Energia and HT Wind Operations. The project is co-owned by Acciona Energy Oceania and EnergyAustralia, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

The project generates 225,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 35,000 households, offsetting 150,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project has 60m high towers.

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2004 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in February 2007.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to EnergyAustralia under a power purchase agreement from 2007. The contracted capacity is 33MW.

Contractors involved

Cathedral Rocks Construction & Management was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 33 units of V80-2.0 MW turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Transfield Worley Services is the O&M contractor for the wind power project, commencing from the year 2007.
