Description
The project was developed by Nobelwind. Parkwind, Sumitomo and Meewind are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 41.08%, 39.02% and 19.9% respectively.
The wind turbines in the project are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the project.
The project generates 651,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 188,000 households, offsetting 197,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The Tubular Steel towers installed at the project site are 79m high.
Development status
The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in May 2017.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Luminus under a power purchase agreement, starting from 2017.
Contractors involved
Vestas Offshore Wind was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 50 units of BZD80-2000 turbines, each with 3.3MW nameplate capacity.
Vestas Offshore Wind is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2017, for a period of 15 years.
