Notably, COVID-19 was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q2 2023, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of governance and individualism & expression, according to GlobalData.

Of the top leading companies in the power industry, Consolidated Edison had the greatest increase in references for COVID-19 in Q2 2023, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 41 COVID-19-related sentences in the company's filings - 6% of all sentences - and an increase of 100% in Q2 2023 compared with Q2 2022. Avangrid’s mentions of COVID-19 rose by 100% to 29 and Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras’s by 100% to 23 and National Grid’s by 100% to 16 and Enel’s by 100% to 11.
