Premier Energies reports that the Seetharampur facility spans 75 acres and anticipates employing around 2,000 people.
The site features automated production lines capable of manufacturing four G12R TOPCon modules every 16 seconds.
Automation at the facility includes AI-based fault detection, which addresses defects during production.
The company has integrated TOPCon technology with zero busbar architecture into its modules.
With increased capacity from this facility, Premier Energies will be able to meet demand from both domestic and international markets.
Premier Energies managing director Chiranjeev Saluja said: “The commissioning of this new hi-tech plant is a significant milestone in our journey toward a fully integrated solar manufacturing ecosystem.”
The company stated that this development supports the expansion of India’s solar manufacturing sector and is expected to contribute to local employment and economic activity.
Premier Energies chief strategy officer Sudhir Reddy said: “This facility strengthens our strategic roadmap to scale integrated manufacturing while aligning closely with India’s renewable energy ambitions.”
In September 2025, the company secured contracts valued at $19.95m to supply and install solar power systems in the Republic of Benin, West Africa. The projects were part of a government initiative aimed at expanding access to reliable clean energy across the country.
Premier Energies agreed to install 750 rooftop solar systems at district police stations, educational facilities, health centres and border surveillance locations.
In addition, the company was responsible for deploying over 4,400 solar-powered streetlights and 650 solar water heaters throughout Benin.
