Under the terms of the agreement, EMG will invest $10m to jointly develop projects, once the results of the demonstration are successful.
W2H Luxembourg chairman Karl Georg Neubacher said with the integrated system from W2 Energy’s technologies and EGM’s fuel enhancement technology, the company now has the ability to produce some of the cleanest fuel on the planet.
"With our new W2 Energy/EGM synthetic fuel, we plan on reaching the emission standards signed in the Kyoto Protocol for the year 2050 today, bringing affordable power to rural areas without grid connections, while providing a solution for the World’s rapidly rising waste problem by turning the waste into useful, clean, affordable energy," said Neubacher.
W2 Energy president and CEO Michael McLaren said, "We along with our JV partner W2H look forward to establishing a long term symbiotic relationship with EGM."

By GlobalDataUnder the agreement, the companies will renovate five biomass power plants in Germany.
The partnership will jointly develop prototype plants to produce 10 ton/day synthetic EGM fuels using carbon and coal waste in UAE and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
The companies will also develop power plants in Durban, Botswana and Zimbabwe to produce 10 ton/day energy which is expected to be purchased by the various municipalities.
The new joint venture also plans to develop 150kW demonstration plant in Austria to generate power and fuel.
It also plans to develop a prepaid OFF grid system using W2H Luxembourg’s 5-10KW/h W2H generator sets and EGM bio-oil (fuel) to generate electricity.
