The order is a part of 20-year supply and service agreement awarded by joint developers of the project, EDF EN Canada and Enbridge.
The agreement also includes service and maintenance terms including Active Output Management (AOM) 5000 service option.

Commenting on the developments, Vestas US and Canada sales and service president Chris Brown remarked that it appreciates the long-term agreement offered by the two energy companies.
"Our partnership with EDF EN Canada and Enbridge shows their confidence in our ability to deliver turbines safely and on time," added Brown.
Vestas has planned to deliver the wind turbines for the project located in Lethbridge, Alberta, during the latter half of 2013. Its commissioning is expected to begin by mid-2014.
"This project also will increase our market leadership position in Canada and further builds on our strong service business in Alberta," claimed Brown.

By GlobalDataThe company stated that it would be involved in manufacturing components for Blackspring Ridge at its US facilities in Colorado, making it the sixth Canadian project to use V100-1.8 MW turbines.
Meanwhile, EDF EN Canada COO Al Kurzenhauser said: "EDF EN Canada looks forward to our first opportunity to install Vestas turbines in Canada as part of the Blackspring Ridge project.
"The project further builds on our relationship with both Vestas and Enbridge, demonstrating our business model to optimize assets throughout North America," added Kurzenhauser.
After the commissioning, the Blackspring Ridge project is expected to meet the energy requirements of 140,000 households.
