Clean energy company Iberdrola Renewables has commenced operations at three wind farms in the US with total installed capacity of 265.5MW.
The wind farms, developed at a cumulatve cost of $700m, are located in California, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Iberdrola Renewables CEO and president Martín Mugíca said that the projects will offer a wide range of environmental benefits to their respective regions as offshoots of producing clean and renewable energy.
"Each project represents the culmination of years of hard work, and we could not do it without the vision and support of our shareholders, customers and employees," added Mugíca.
The largest of the three projects – 189MW Manzana facility in Kern County, California employs 126 GE turbines of 1.5MW each.
San Diego Gas & Electric and the Silicon Valley Power have signed long-term power purchase agreements to procure the electricity produced at the Manzana facility.

The 48MW Groton wind farm in New Hampshire, meanwhile, employs 24 Gamesa wind turbines of 2MW each to produce electricity sufficient to power 20,000 homes in the state.
Electricity generated at Hoosac and Groton farms will be procured by a subsidiary of Northeast Utilities, NSTAR Electric, under separate long-term power purchase agreements.
