The solar project located in the north of the village of Clawton, Devon, will install 14,700 photovoltaic solar panels over three adjacent fields of 8.32ha.
The project is expected to produce and supply clean energy to the national grid and to generated guaranteed rental revenues for the next 25 years.
TGC Renewables director Rob Denman said the company’s pipeline of South West solar projects is a real indicator of the interest and demand from the farming community for renewable energy.
"A number of landowners have highlighted the above-average returns they are now seeing from land they have provided for green energy developments," Denman added.

The company’s in-house development team which includes project management, legal, financial and electrical support worked closely with the landlord of the site and other local authorities to develop the site.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of July 2012.
