The combined installations of three projects will be the largest in the region.

Sunrise Energy Ventures managing director Dean Leischow said the company has been awarded the contract by IPL to develop the largest cumulative solar power project in the Midwest.

“The energy generated at these sites is equal to the amount needed to power 7,500 homes,” Leischow added.

IPL, under a 15 year power purchase agreement with Sunrise Energy, will buy all the power generated from the 30MW solar projects.
