Suniva, a US based manufacturer of crystalline silicon solar cells and modules has unveiled its new 5MW West Tennessee Solar Farm in the state of Tennessee, US.
The West Tennessee Solar Farm located on 25 acres in Haywood County is expected to produce 7 million kWhs electricity every year and can generate additional capacity, if needed.

Suniva chairman and CEO John Baumstark said the company is proud that Suniva’s high quality solar modules are being used to power one of the largest solar installations in the Southeast.
“The West Tennessee Solar Farm project has created numerous jobs for the Tennessee economy while securing a cleaner and more sustainable energy future,” Baumstark added.
Signal Energy president Ben Fischer said the company is pleased to be working with Suniva and the University of Tennessee, and the Department of Economic and Community Development to move Tennessee’s clean energy industry forward.
“The West Tennessee Solar Farm showcases that Tennessee is well positioned to emerge as a national leader in the clean energy economy, with the solar industry leading the way,” Fischer added.

The Solar Farm is part of the volunteer state solar initiative which benefits the state’s economy by using federal dollars to create jobs and provide support to a growing solar industry.
