The Lower Snake River wind farm is located near Dayton and it will feature 116 wind turbines, of 2.3MW capacity each, provided by Siemens Energy.
RES Americas chief operating officer Andrew Fowler stated that the company is keen to develop the second phase of Lower Snake River wind farm for Puget Sound Energy.
"The acquisition of this project is a significant addition to PGE’s renewable energy portfolio, and will ensure that PGE’s customers receive even more power from clean, renewable resources," added Fowler.
Earlier, RES Americas has served as BOP contractor for the phase one of Lower Snake River wind project of 343MW capacity, completed in 2012.

"There’s tremendous potential in the Lower Snake River project."
Following the completion in 2015, the project is estimated to produce enough renewable energy output to cater to the energy requirements of about 84,000 households.
In addition, the project will create around 300 construction workers alongside 18 permanent jobs after it begins operations.
The phase two of the Lower Snake River wind farm will account for PGE’s 15% renewable energy power that the state has mandated for every utility firm starting 2015.
