The Lake Winds Energy Project located in the Mason County, Michigan, uses 56 units of Vestas turbines V100, each with an energy generating capacity of 1.8 MW.

Consumers Energy hydro and renewable generation manager Bill Schoenlein said, "Consumers conducted an exhaustive evaluation of service providers and engaged Outland because of its solid reputation for providing safe, high-quality services, and its willingness to customize its offerings to meet our needs."

Outland president and CEO Steve Scott said, "Outland’s collaboration with Consumers Energy is an example of how Outland can provide an asset owner with the best possible value for commissioning, operations, maintenance, and remote monitoring from the very start of a project’s life."

Outland business development manager Don Gibson said the company would ensure that the turbines achieve the highest energy-based availability possible.
