Mesa Power Group will partner with Wind Tex Energy to develop the 377MW Stephens Bor-Lynn Wind Project (SBL) in the state Texas, US.

The company will be deploying 233 GE 1.6MW wind turbines at the project, located in Borden and Lynn counties.

Mesa Power executive Mark Ward said, "We believe it is an excellent addition to the wind projects we’ve been developing since 2007."

The company plans to get finance in the second half of 2012 for the project which will begin commercial operation next year.

SBL has signed an interconnection agreement with Wind Energy Transmission Texas (WETT) and will interconnect to a competitive renewable energy zone line that will be completed in early next year.

The company said this is the first interconnection agreement that has a wind resource connecting to an Electric Reliability Council of Texas CREZ line.
