The Huadian Group has selected Gamesa for a contract to provide wind turbines of type G87-2.0 MW Class S for its 48MW wind project constructed in Liyushan of Fujian Province.
Gamesa will supply its specially designed G87-2.0 MW Class S type turbines to increase the electricity generation at the wind farm.

The G87-2.0 MW Class S type turbines with design improvements will make it easier to install the turbines close to the previously installed G80-2.0 MW Class I condition sites and increase the power generation by over 8%.
Gamesa will manufacture the turbines and start delivering them for the project from 31 August 2012 onwards and with this new contract the two companies will together have over 420MW in projects.
Spanish company Gamesa operates as a turbine manufacturer and wind farm developer in China and has installed around 3,000 turbines at over 60 sites in the country.
