The solar park located on a 4.5ha site is using more than 6,700 PowerPlus solar modules of Conergy and other locally manufactured components to generate clean and green electricity.

The project is producing enough energy to supply 1.5kWh of renewable solar electricity to 400 households in the region.
BATEG Energy managing partner Hasan Kaygusuz said the company wanted to set a clear signal for Brandenburg as a solar location with this project.

"To this end we made a point of choosing high-quality, locally manufactured components and commissioning local companies with all the installation work," Kaygusuz added.

"We are investing a total of around 3 million euros entirely from our own funds in this solar plant; and with the locally founded special-purpose company we are also making sure that the tax revenues will flow directly into the region."

The solar plant will be connected to grid of the municipal utility Stadtwerke Brandenburg an der Havel using 90 Conergy IPG T inverters.

Conergy delivers solar energy systems from a single source and as a system supplier the company offers all components for a solar installation as well as all related services.
