France based Voltalia has started operations at the 30MW Terral wind farm in Brazil.
Equipped with 10 of 3MW wind turbines, the commissioning of the facility marks completion of the second phase of the Areia Branca project.

Areia Branca project is due to be completed due to be completed by February 2015. Commissioning of another 10 3MW turbines at the Carcara 1 wind farm still needs to be done for the project.
The project completion will increase the renewable power producer’s wind power capacity in Brazil to 90 MW.
The firm also has two other ongoing projects in Brazil, namely the 108MW SMG and the 93MW Vamcruz projects.
Terral wind farm raises Voltalia’s total power production capacity to 133.1MW, till 2014 end.

By GlobalDataVoltalia chief executive officer Sébastien Clerc said: "The launch of second wind farm in Areia Branca (Brazil) marks the end of a year teeming with strategic, operational and financial achievements."
The power developer also operates numerous projects across multiple renewable sectors including wind, solar, hydropower and biomass.
Voltalia is also trying to raise €30m through a private placement in order to develop its renewable energy business.
