Vestas has won a deal from an unnamed Polish private investor to deliver turbines for a 36MW wind project in the Lodzkie region of Poland.

The contract requires Vestas to deliver, install, and commission 12 of its V112 3MW turbines.

The turbines will be delivered during the third and fourth quarter of 2015.

In addition, the deal includes a five-year Active Output Management (AOM) 4000 service contract.

Vestas Northern Europe president Klaus Steen Mortensen said: "We are proud to be chosen to supply turbines for this project. With market-leading technology, Vestas seeks to maximise value for our customer through low cost of energy, business case certainty and being easy to work with."

Last year in December, Vestas won a contract from Poland-based Green Bear to supply 12 V112-3.0 MW turbines for a wind power project in Radzyn.

The company has secured over 30% market share of total installations in Poland.

It has delivered wind energy in 73 countries.

The company claimed that the wind energy from its 52,700 wind turbines currently cuts down carbon emissions by over 60 million tons a year.
