Vestas has been awarded a contract by Borusan, the joint venture of German utility EnBW and the Turkish holding company Borusan, for the supply of ten V112-3.3 MW turbines for 33MW Fuat RES wind power plant in Turkey.

The contract marks the fifth and the final order from the 207MW framework agreement signed on 7 March 2014 between Vestas and Borusan.

Under the contact, Vestas will also supply, install and commission the wind turbines.

The contract scope also includes a VestasOnline Business SCADA system, as well as a five-year full-scope service agreement (AOM 4000).

Located in the city of Izmir on the west coast of Turkey, the Fuat RES wind power plant is expected to have an estimated annual production of more than 112,000 MWh per year, saving the environment from over 51,500t of CO2 emissions on an annual basis.

Borusan EnBW Enerji General Manager Mehmet Acarla said Borusan has decided to develop one of the largest onshore wind power plant portfolios in Europe.
