Vestas has received a 148.5MW order consisting of 45 of its V117-3.3 MW wind turbines from Special Purchase Vehicles Eólica Tres Mesas and Eólica Tres Mesas 2 in Mexico.
Under the contract, Vestas will be responsible for supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines as well as provide a 10-year full-scope Vestas Active Output Management (AOM 5000) service.

The company will deliver the V117-3.3 MW wind turbines during the first quarter of 2016.
V117-3.3 MW wind turbine is based on company’s 3 MW platform, which is designed for improving energy production on medium wind-sites.
Tres Mesas wind power plant presently has annual production of 520,000 MWh and can cut down approximately 237,000 tons of CO2 emission in Mexico.
In 2013, Vestas installed a 54 MW El Porvenir wind farm, which was the Tamaulipas state’s first wind firm, and with the new installation, is expected to become one of the largest wind farms in Tamaulipas, Mexico.
