Vestas, a global energy firm, and OOO Fortum Energy have signed the first order of a binding framework agreement, following the successful participation in wind energy auction in Russia.
According to the agreement, Vestas will supply its 4MW platform for wind energy projects in Russia while the order includes 14 V126-3.6 MW turbines for a 50MW project.
Vestas and OOO Fortum Energy will together expand the wind energy industry in Russia in conjunction with local manufacturers. They will establisha blade factory in Ulyanovsk region, a nacelles assembly plant in Nizhny Novgorod region, and a towers factory in Rostov region.
Vestas will offer its experience across the value chain of the industry. This includes help with project siting for all wind power plants, offering products and service solutions, establishment of local manufacturing footprints, supply chain localisation and optimisation, and turbine installation.
