Trina Solar has entered into an agreement to supply 36MW of high efficiency TSM-PC14 modules to a large-scale PV project in Chile.

Under the terms of the accord, Trina Solar will supply TSM-PC14 module, which is IEC certified to 1,000V, by the second quarter of 2014.

The module is designed for large-scale installations in areas prone to high temperatures and dry conditions.

Trina Solar module business unit president Zhiguo Zhu said that the company supports the project and brings clean power to Chile.

The 36MW Trina solar modules, once completed, will generate approximately 97,000 MWh of solar electricity annually, enough to mitigate 48,600 metric tonnes of CO2 per year.
