Previously, FSFL acquired Wymeswold operational plant in 2013 at 32.2MWp with a ROC accreditation of 2.0ROCs and since it was connected to a grid the capacity of the plant was brought up to 34.4MWp.
Trina Solar initially installed 137,000 of its TSM-PC05A ground-mounted poly-crystalline Honey Modules at the site, back in March 2013, enough to power 8,000 homes.
According to Trina Solar, its TSM-PC05A poly-crystalline, Honey Modules are capable of operating in challenging weather and has a power output range of 250-260W, which makes it apt for large-scale installations.
The company also highlighted that the plant’s energy generation has surpassed expectations and Trina Solar is planning to supply a further 2.2MW of 265W mono-crystalline Honey PV modules, for boosting the plants energy generation capabilities.

By GlobalDataTrina Solar UK sales manager Richard Rushin said: "We were delighted to have been selected by Foresight to deliver a further 2.2MW of our high-performance PV modules to the Wymeswold solar plant.
"This particular site is significant in that it is a very strong example of how solar farms can generate large amounts of clean energy without disrupting their environments; the airfield’s racetrack is still in use, while sheep graze between and around the panels.
"The PV modules that we previously installed are performing extremely well and, with the addition of the extra modules, we fully expect to build on this success."
