SkyWolf Wind Turbine has introduced Solar Hybrid Diffused Augmented Wind Turbine (DAWT) technology, which can generate both solar power and wind power in a single wind turbine.
The next generation technology is expected increasing the efficiency and energy output as it reduces the static pressure behind the rotor blades.
SkyWolf said that it took 12 years to develop DAWT, which is capable of producing energy output in wind speeds as low as 3mph and has a smaller footprint compared to traditional turbines.
The solar panels in the turbine have been added to generate additional solar energy.
Beta installation of DAWT has already produced monthly average 600 to 800 KwH in an average wind speed of 16-18 mph.
SkyWolf Wind Turbine VP Business Development Paul Morrell said: "We are finally ready to commercially launch this product into the marketplace and we believe this product offers an outstanding alternative to the Wind and Solar energy industry.
