Senvion, Suzlon Group’s subsidiary, has won four deals to supply wind turbines totaling 63.5MW, in the UK
The firm received the largest contract for 14 Senvion MM82 turbines, totaling 28.7MW. These turbines will be installed at the Penmanshiel wind farm, which is being developed by Renewable Energy Systems (RES).
Situated close to Granthouse in the Scottish Borders, the wind farm will produce enough power for over 20,000 homes.
Recently, pre-construction works have commenced on site. The project is likely to be completed in autumn 2016.
A contract to provide 20-year service has also been signed.
As per the terms of the second contract, Senvion will deliver three 3.4M104 10.2MW turbines for Reaps Moss wind farm, which is being built by InfraRed Capital Partners.

Installation of the turbines will start in summer 2015 and a 20-year ISP service contract has also been signed.
According to the terms of the third contract with John Laing, Senvion will have to deliver seven MM82 14.35MW turbines for the New Albion wind farm in Northamptonshire,
This wind farm will produce enough power for over 7,600 homes. The contract also has a 15-year service provision.
Pre-construction works have already begun and installation of the wind turbines is likely to start in January 2015. The project is expected to be completely operational by January 2016.
Senvion will deliver five MM92 10.25MW turbines for Watford Lodge wind farm located near Daventry, Northamptonshire under the fourth contract with Broadview Energy.
This farm will generate energy sufficient for more than 5,000 homes. Construction is expected to begin in the summer 2015 and the completion is planned for autumn of 2015.
Senvion will also provide maintenance service for 15 years.
