China-based ReneSola has received a contract to supply 420MW of solar panels to the Japan-based solar project developer.

The firm’s Virtus II 300W 72-cell high-efficiency polycrystalline PV panels will be installed in about ten ground-mounted power plants in the mountain regions of Japan.

ReneSola plans to begin the delivery of solar panels in January 2041 and intends to complete by December 2015.

Japanese solar project developer CEO said the company is looking forward to develop relationship with ReneSola and partnering with them on future projects in Japan.

"The ReneSola team provided us with in-depth technical knowledge on the durability and reliability of their solar panels," CEO added.

ReneSola CEO Xianshou Li said the company is committed to produce high-quality cost-competitive products and will continue to expand presence in new markets in the coming years.

ReneSola said that it uses in-house virgin polysilicon and a vertically integrated business model to provide customers with high-quality, cost-competitive products.

According to the California Energy Commission (CEC), ReneSola solar modules have scored top PVUSA Test Conditions (PTC) ratings with high annual kilowatt-hour output.

The company’s solar PV modules can be found in projects ranging in size from a few kilowatts to multi-megawatts in markets around the world such as the US, Germany, Italy, Belgium, China, Greece, Spain and Australia.
