The power generated from the facility will be supplied to Southern California Edison, according to a 20-year power purchase agreement.

The facility is equipped with 250,000 SunEdison Silvantis solar PV panels, which will generate sufficient power for 10,000 homes in the country.

The direct current (DC) solar facility covers an area of 737 acres and has been acquired by TerraForm Power from its call right list with SunEdison.

SunEdison will, however, be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the facility.
SunEdison North America Utility and Global Wind executive vice president Paul Gaynor said: "Regulus is another SunEdison success story in the California utility scale solar market and is an important contributor to the state’s RPS goals.
