Pulse Structural Monitoring (Pulse) has completed a subsea integrity monitoring project in support of DONG Energy’s offshore wind farm in the UK.
Pulse has delivered a monitoring system to assess the motion of a number of unsupported sections of subsea cable at the Gunfleet Sands wind farm in the UK sector of the Southern North Sea.
The assessment will further determine the tidal activity impact on the fatigue life of the cable.
Began in November 2013, the project included project management, sensor delivery, offshore support and post processing data analysis.
Pulse project manager John Weldon said that the Pulse leverages on experience of subsea integrity monitoring within the offshore oil and gas and renewable energy sectors.
"DONG selected us for this project on the basis of our excellent track record and its successful completion underlines our position as a leading supplier of subsea integrity monitoring for all areas of the offshore energy industry," Weldon added.
